APC Can’t Win a Free and Fair Election, Says AAC’s Chukwunyere

Comrade Onyinye-Ghandi Chukwunyere, spokesperson for AAC National Chairman Omoyele Sowore, has declared that the ruling APC cannot win a free and fair election due to its poor governance record.

In an interview with Independent, Chukwunyere dismissed APC’s perceived dominance as “a myth” upheld by beneficiaries of the current system.

He cited rising inflation (33.2%), underreported unemployment, and worsening insecurity (15,000 kidnappings in 2024), accusing APC of manipulating institutions like INEC and the judiciary.

Chukwunyere referenced a poll showing 78% disapproval of President Tinubu’s performance and emphasized AAC’s focus on mobilizing Nigerians rather than relying on flawed electoral systems. He believes 2027 could be a turning point if citizens demand accountability.

Drawing parallels to EndSARS and the Arab Spring, he pointed out AAC’s commitment to grassroots organizing, insisting that APC’s power rests on voter apathy and institutional capture—not genuine support.

“Tinubu and the APC are not invincible,” he said. “The people have the power to change the system.”
