Chioma Ifemeludike, the African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate for the upcoming November 8, 2025, Anambra State election, has hosted a strategic town hall meeting with Anambra indigenes and community leaders residing in the United Kingdom.
The interactive session, held in London, drew a diverse audience of distinguished sons and daughters of Anambra as well as prominent community ambassadors.
According to a statement released by Ifemeludike on Saturday, the event served as a vital forum for dialogue on Anambra’s future, emphasizing the urgent need for a people-oriented, inclusive, and innovation-driven government.
Addressing attendees, Ifemeludike reaffirmed her dedication to the comprehensive development of Anambra, pledging to reposition the state as a model of functional governance, economic vibrancy, and dignity for its citizens.
“Anambra must reclaim its place as the golden child of Nigeria—not just for its historical importance, but as a beacon of purposeful leadership, thriving local enterprise, and inclusive progress,” she said.
She urged the diaspora community to actively support her vision, emphasizing the importance of collective effort in building a state that values its people over profit and tangible progress over political showmanship.
“We are committed to delivering a government that prioritises people over profit, development over propaganda, and action over rhetoric. With the united support of Ndi Anambra, both at home and abroad, we can actualise this vision,” she stated.
One of the key highlights of the event was the unveiling of a flagship campaign initiative titled “Football, Music, and Acting Talent Hunt Exercise.” The programme is aimed at identifying and nurturing young talents across Anambra in sports and the creative industries.
“This youth-focused project underscores a fundamental principle of our campaign—that talent, when harnessed and supported, becomes a catalyst for empowerment, job creation, and meaningful societal transformation,” she explained.
Ifemeludike reiterated her campaign’s commitment to engaging citizens across the globe in the mission to rescue Anambra from years of failed leadership and restore its stature in the Nigerian federation.
“The Chioma4Governor campaign remains rooted in the aspirations of the people and will continue to mobilize grassroots and diaspora support for a new Anambra that works for everyone,” she concluded.
