I promise to provide an effective representation for the people of this great country. As an elected member of Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I will provide vibrant legislative advocacy, lobbying and consulting with the people to deliver the dividends of democracy. My immediate tasks would involve; (i) Resolving the challenges faced by our people. Only You Can Take Your Country Back; Now!!!

Only You Can Take Your Country Back; Now!!!

Nigerians over the years have had so many bad governments, whether during the military regime or in this current democratic dispensation that began in the year 1999, after so many years of military dictatorships and coups, and more importantly, a military coup which toppled a democratically elected government and got so many innocent Nigerians imprisoned without trial.

Nevertheless, history will never forgive us and posterity will definitely condemn us if we fail to teach our children and inform Nigerians in general about the atrocities committed by these people, especially that of Muhammadu Buhari who was in fact one of the worse military dictators in Nigeria, whose fascist government and narcissistic character gruesomely subjected Nigerians, unfortunately, to gross cruelty with impunity.

“Buhari enslaved the nation. He gloated and gloried in a master-slave relation to the millions of its inhabitants. It is astonishing to find that the same former slaves, now free of their chains, should clamour to be ruled by one who not only turned their nation into a slave plantation, but forbade them any discussion of their condition.” ~ Prof. Wole Soyinka.

Just as it is today, so it was in the military era, except that the two other arms of government, the press, and rights activists are at least somewhat free due to democracy

A lot of atrocities have been committed against the Nigerian people and without doubt, it is time for us as a people who have been collectively battered, dehumanized, denigrated, starved, and dejected to rise up, stand as one and take our country back from these oppressors who still live with us and in fact still govern us with ineptitude and feel no remorse whatsoever for their mis-governance and maladministration and the long term retrogression into which they have sunk our dear country.

The government of the day is a government whose corruption fight is only against opposing political voices and persons, it is a government that harbors corrupt politicians within its own party yet go extra miles to bring every political oppositions and even opposing voices of concerned citizens to judgement with lawsuits and imprisonment.

“Driver Get Accident, Na Conductor Buhari Charge Go Court” ~ Fela Anikulapo.

The 2019 general elections is here in less than a month and the people would go vote at the ballot for a new President and a new government, but while we are at it, we have to put into cognizance all the problems facing us in the country which is majorly due to the inept character and the maladministration by our politicians in government over the years.

Hence we have to vote them all out come February 16th, 2019, and take our country back by voting in credible candidates with worthy antecedents who have the will to make our country a great place for us wherein we would have no reason to leave our country and become illegal immigrants in foreign lands, and some becoming victims of xenophobia or ending up in a precarious situation in Libya.

I’ve 6 years of international experience while working for Municipal and State government. My passion to serve the public and to make laws that would benefit every Nigerian who been disenfranchised by oppressive and corrupt government. These are part of the reasons why am soliciting for votes from the electorate l plan to represent in my Constituency.Having had 15 years of engineering experience in my working carrier will enable me to perform oversight functions on committee(s) in my capacity.

Ade-Adedeji Adeyera LAGOS:IKEJA

Having worked as a Legislative Aide at the National Assembly and with a working knowledge of legislative doctrines and policies, I consider myself eminently qualified to be a Lawmaker. Most of all the old guards we seek to dislodge have seen Public office as a place to corruptly enrich themselves. That’s why a Lawmaker can earn so much and not sponsor a single bill in his years in office. However, all that’s about to change because we’re out to rewrite the history of governance and policies through qualitative and truly people-driven representation.

Ishola Olatunde Abraham LAGOS: SHOMOLU

I considered myself as the people of Zone 7, the knowledgeable disenfranchised Nigerian. I want to represent my people in creating a better society for all.

Taiwo ibironke

I consider my candidacy a call to liberate and fight for a dividend of democracy denied to the people of my constituency. I am in this race to win and nothing else. I process the ability with experience to deploy strategic strategies using the knowledge of the constituency I know very well growing up as a child. At the moment, the main political parties PDP and APC are far from winning as both have disappointed the citizens in the past and people are wiser now. Our party AAC in the grass root of my constituency stands an advantage for voting power.

Those Who Deserve Housing Are The Nigerian People, Not cockroaches and Lizards! ~ Omoyele Sowore

On the State of Housing Market in Nigeria, at the University of Lagos.

We would increase the minimum wage of an average Nigerian worker to One Hundred Thousand Naira, so that an average Nigerian worker could afford a loan of Two Million Naira in order to own a house. The Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has condemned the prevalent state of uninhabited houses overtaken by cockroaches and lizards while Nigeria suffers from a deficit of 17 million homes for it’s homeless population.

He made the rebuke while speaking at a Town hall meeting on Housing for Presidential candidates organized by the University of Lagos on Saturday, 12th of January, 2019.

Speaking at the event on the question as to if he will privatize government or public houses currently not in use, Sowore said:

“We will not give anymore of our public properties to private individuals. What we’re going to do is to take inventory of all the uninhabited public properties in Nigeria.

The ones that can be converted into hospitals will be converted into hospitals, the ones that can be converted into houses will be converted to houses and be given to workers, our federal workers.

“We would convert the federal government secretariat in Lagos  state to a public hospital. He added”

Blaming the housing crisis in Nigeria on failed leadership, he said:The federal government of Nigeria is a wasteful government. If we do not reclaim this properties for the Nigerian people, it will end up in the hands of our ministers, governors, senators and other political leaders and thieves. The Nigerian property should be used by the Nigerian people and this is what we would do when elected”.Drawing parallels with Asian countries who rose from being third world countries to competing with European countries and the US and have overcome the housing problem, Sowore said:

“China planned ahead and built houses to the extent that they now have ghost apartments, Japan did it and so did Singapore and others.”

“So, do not vote in leaders who took off the roof over your heads, because they have no intention to build you houses for shelter” ~ the AAC Presidential candidate admonished.

“The chapter 2 of the 1999 Nigerian constitution suffers a major defect, because that particular chapter is ‘not justiciable’ in the court of law .”

“You cannot go to court to sue the Nigerian government for not having a home, that was why i said the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a fraudulent document which was created by the military and imposed on us the Nigerian people.”~ Sowore quipped.

“The rich, the 1% of our population already have too much houses, so we are going to make sure that we take those houses with no one living in them from the owners.”
“Government must invest in shelter, and make sure that every Nigerian citizen must be entitled a place to lay his head at night, a home. We have to make this investment, and what we have proposed is that our government would invest $3.6 billion into housing, and i mean it, we would soon turn this country into a construction site.”
“What we need to do is to make housing a right for our people living in the country.”“Every Nigerian family must have a home, over 80 million Nigerians are homeless, we would make sure that every family has a home, a father, a mother and at least 3 children.”The town hall meeting which was organised by the University of Lagos, on the state of the Nigerian Housing Market had four other political parties and their Presidential candidates apart from Mr. Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress, which includes Mrs. Obiageli Ezekwesili of ACPN, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu of YPP, Mr. Fela Durotoye of ANN, and Mr. Isaac Ositelu of AP.The event was well attended by a wide spectrum of people, students, rights activists, lecturers, public servants and government functionaries, businessmen, researchers and distinguish press persons.LIVE: Omoyele Sowore at the University of Lagos Housing Town Hall Meeting for Presidential Candidate

Gubernatorial Candidates Talk Tough On Why Lagos Need A Change In Government

Gubernatorial Candidates Talk Tough On Why Lagos Need A Change In Government

Gubernatorial Debate 2019; Lagos Deserves Better!!!

The gubernatorial debate which was held on Wednesday 9th, January 2019 at the Civic Hive on Montgomery Road, Yaba Lagos was graced with so much brilliance from all the candidates present.

https://www.facebook.com/aacnigeria/videos/310586422905160/

Only three of the 13 invited gubernatorial candidates were absent, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress {APC}, Mr. Jimi Agbaje of the People’s Democratic Party {PDP}, and Mrs. Omolewa Adesanya of the Providence People’s Congress {PPC}.

The debate which was tagged “GOOD GOVERNANCE: What’s Next?” had no less than 10 political parties ably represented by their gubernatorial candidates in attendance, all of whom brought to light various germane issues affecting Lagos as a state, ranging from environmental hazards {i.e flooding and waste management}, transportation and housing problems, and most importantly, the issue of insecurity and unemployment in the state and also proffer various policies to solving these critical issues.
https://www.facebook.com/aacnigeria/videos/2200167523533989/?epa=SEARCH_BOX

The 10 candidates who were present are Mr. Babatunde Gbadamosi of the ADP, Mr. Abiodun Dabiri of the ANRP, Mr. Francis Adebayo of the ANN, Mr. Funso Awe of the NCP, Mrs Adebisi Ogunsanya of YPP, Dr. Tokunbo Pearse of SDP, Mr. Ladipo Johnson of ANP, Mr. Ifagbemi Awamaridi of the LP, Mr. Oluwasegun Musa of ANDP and the AAC Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Oluwaseun Ajireloja.
https://www.facebook.com/aacnigeria/videos/450086472197247/?epa=SEARCH_BOX

The event was well attended by the good people of Lagos, most of whom yearn for a change in governance in the state in order to incur rapid development, considering the population of Lagos state and the influx of hundreds of thousands of people from other parts of the country and nearby countries who migrate into the state on daily basis with no aim of emigrating anytime soon.

Our candidate, Mr. Oluwaseun Ajireloja, hammered on the need to increase the minimum wage of the state from what it is as of today to One Hundred Thousand Naira living wage as it is obvious that the #18,000 currently paid to workers is a meagre amount which can never be enough to cater for any family no matter how few.
https://www.facebook.com/aacnigeria/videos/341898686536727/?epa=SEARCH_BOX
He also talked about going digital on the issue of security as that would drastically eradicate insecurity in the state, and reduce death rates while also giving room for people to run their businesses without fear of being robbed or killed.

All the candidates present performed absolutely well in answering the questions, presenting their party manifestos and also, their individual proposed policies for the state if they become governor.
