The prominent reggae artiste, Chinagorom Onuoha, popularly known as African China endorses Omoyele Sowore for the president of Nigeria. In an Instagram post published on 12th January, 2019, he admonished the youth to make better inputs in the area of politics just as they have done in the area of sport, music, movies and computer apps.
In a country where prominent voices are either silent or subtly deployed for the political oppressors, a gesture like this is important to our national politics. We hope that it provokes more voices to take more definite stance towards the general elections.
Though it is important to acknowledge that some artiste are already helpful in the area of voters education and advocacy, we expect that these voices take a step further to endorse Omoyele Sowore. The problem with Nigeria requires a political and/or partisan involvement as standing on the fence gives strength to the thieving political oppressors.
“It is over for the old people, it is over for the cabal, it is over for the mafias that have been running Nigeria down.”
“People who destroyed your past cannot guarantee your future.”
“Since I stepped into the campuses of the University of Lagos in 1989 (30 years ago), I have not looked back from fighting to enthrone an egalitarian society.”
“For every four years we vote in wrong candidates, we lose 35 years of our individual productive lives and our national development.”
“I am the most transparent candidate, I have capacity, I have pedigree and I have an indestructible antecedent”.
“I can run Nigeria better than President Buhari, even in my sleep. There is no need to become a Local Government Councillor or a Senator when I can run a better country as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
“Nigeria has no business being poor, we have all it takes to make Africa great.”
“If Nigeria gets it right, Africa gets it right.”

Those Who Deserve Housing Are The Nigerian People, Not cockroaches and Lizards! ~ Omoyele Sowore
On the State of Housing Market in Nigeria, at the University of Lagos.
We would increase the minimum wage of an average Nigerian worker to One Hundred Thousand Naira, so that an average Nigerian worker could afford a loan of Two Million Naira in order to own a house. The Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has condemned the prevalent state of uninhabited houses overtaken by cockroaches and lizards while Nigeria suffers from a deficit of 17 million homes for it’s homeless population.
He made the rebuke while speaking at a Town hall meeting on Housing for Presidential candidates organized by the University of Lagos on Saturday, 12th of January, 2019.
Speaking at the event on the question as to if he will privatize government or public houses currently not in use, Sowore said:
“We will not give anymore of our public properties to private individuals. What we’re going to do is to take inventory of all the uninhabited public properties in Nigeria.
The ones that can be converted into hospitals will be converted into hospitals, the ones that can be converted into houses will be converted to houses and be given to workers, our federal workers.
“We would convert the federal government secretariat in Lagos state to a public hospital. He added”
Blaming the housing crisis in Nigeria on failed leadership, he said:“The federal government of Nigeria is a wasteful government. If we do not reclaim this properties for the Nigerian people, it will end up in the hands of our ministers, governors, senators and other political leaders and thieves. The Nigerian property should be used by the Nigerian people and this is what we would do when elected”.Drawing parallels with Asian countries who rose from being third world countries to competing with European countries and the US and have overcome the housing problem, Sowore said:
“China planned ahead and built houses to the extent that they now have ghost apartments, Japan did it and so did Singapore and others.”
“So, do not vote in leaders who took off the roof over your heads, because they have no intention to build you houses for shelter” ~ the AAC Presidential candidate admonished.
“The chapter 2 of the 1999 Nigerian constitution suffers a major defect, because that particular chapter is ‘not justiciable’ in the court of law .”
“You cannot go to court to sue the Nigerian government for not having a home, that was why i said the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a fraudulent document which was created by the military and imposed on us the Nigerian people.”~ Sowore quipped.
“The rich, the 1% of our population already have too much houses, so we are going to make sure that we take those houses with no one living in them from the owners.”
“Government must invest in shelter, and make sure that every Nigerian citizen must be entitled a place to lay his head at night, a home. We have to make this investment, and what we have proposed is that our government would invest $3.6 billion into housing, and i mean it, we would soon turn this country into a construction site.”“What we need to do is to make housing a right for our people living in the country.”“Every Nigerian family must have a home, over 80 million Nigerians are homeless, we would make sure that every family has a home, a father, a mother and at least 3 children.”The town hall meeting which was organised by the University of Lagos, on the state of the Nigerian Housing Market had four other political parties and their Presidential candidates apart from Mr. Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress, which includes Mrs. Obiageli Ezekwesili of ACPN, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu of YPP, Mr. Fela Durotoye of ANN, and Mr. Isaac Ositelu of AP.The event was well attended by a wide spectrum of people, students, rights activists, lecturers, public servants and government functionaries, businessmen, researchers and distinguish press persons.LIVE: Omoyele Sowore at the University of Lagos Housing Town Hall Meeting for Presidential Candidate

Gubernatorial Debate 2019; Lagos Deserves Better!!!
The gubernatorial debate which was held on Wednesday 9th, January 2019 at the Civic Hive on Montgomery Road, Yaba Lagos was graced with so much brilliance from all the candidates present.
https://www.facebook.com/aacnigeria/videos/310586422905160/
Only three of the 13 invited gubernatorial candidates were absent, Mr. Babajide
Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress {APC}, Mr. Jimi Agbaje of the People’s
Democratic Party {PDP}, and Mrs. Omolewa Adesanya of the Providence People’s
Congress {PPC}.
The debate which was tagged “GOOD
GOVERNANCE: What’s Next?” had no less than 10 political parties ably
represented by their gubernatorial candidates in attendance, all of whom brought
to light various germane issues affecting Lagos as a state, ranging from
environmental hazards {i.e flooding and waste management}, transportation and housing
problems, and most importantly, the issue of insecurity and unemployment in the
state and also proffer various policies to solving these critical issues.

The 10 candidates who were present are Mr. Babatunde Gbadamosi of the ADP, Mr.
Abiodun Dabiri of the ANRP, Mr. Francis Adebayo of the ANN, Mr. Funso Awe of
the NCP, Mrs Adebisi Ogunsanya of YPP, Dr. Tokunbo Pearse of SDP, Mr. Ladipo
Johnson of ANP, Mr. Ifagbemi Awamaridi of the LP, Mr. Oluwasegun Musa of ANDP
and the AAC Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Oluwaseun Ajireloja.

The event was well attended by the good people of Lagos, most of whom yearn for
a change in governance in the state in order to incur rapid development,
considering the population of Lagos state and the influx of hundreds of
thousands of people from other parts of the country and nearby countries who
migrate into the state on daily basis with no aim of emigrating anytime soon.
Our candidate, Mr. Oluwaseun Ajireloja, hammered on the need to increase the
minimum wage of the state from what it is as of today to One Hundred Thousand
Naira living wage as it is obvious that the #18,000 currently paid to workers
is a meagre amount which can never be enough to cater for any family no matter
how few.

He also talked about going digital on the issue of security as that would
drastically eradicate insecurity in the state, and reduce death rates while
also giving room for people to run their businesses without fear of being
robbed or killed.
All the candidates present performed absolutely well in answering the
questions, presenting their party manifestos and also, their individual proposed
policies for the state if they become governor.
FREEDOM ATSEPOYI (Mr. Jollof) CAMPAIGN FLAG-OFF
Who says we are just a social media political party? While such thought is ignorant of the recent roles of social media in global political participation and landscapes, it also undermines potency of such a space that holds over 90 million Nigerians. It is important to say that African Action Congress, Delta State, flourishes on the streets like the palm by the riverside.
Gleeful gyrations, persuasive street-speak, and dramatic costumes attend the colorful flag-off of Mr. Freedom Atsepoyi campaign organization. This took off yesterday, January 8, 2019. Mr. Atsepoyi addressing the people speaks to the shameful culture of PDP and APC of See-and-Buy election fraud;
“If PDP or APC gives you money, collect and don’t vote for them”
Mr. Atsepoyi, a 31 year old, AAC candidate contesting for Warri Federal Constituency, is a media influencer and entertainment consultant. He earned a degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Benson Idahosa University. He also earned a Masters degree in Public Administration from Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State. He has served in the below capacities:
Benson Idahosa University, Political Science
National Association Itsekiri Students (NAIS)
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
Public Affairs Department
Administrative Department
