Nigerians are tired of the present crop of political leaders – party faithful.

With fervor and strong faith in the Nigeria project, Omoyele Sowore continue to travel to all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria. He storms Yola yesterday, 16th of January, 2019, with the AAC and Take It Back campaign team.

At Burunji, Jimeta, Sowore submits, it is the people who are working that are suffering in this country and that must change. Sensitizing the people, Sowore speaking further says, I know that every time politicians come here to get your votes and after that they run away … but we will never forget you.

At one of the events, a party faithful speaks passionately about the political inspiration Omoyele Sowore has become and how it has compelled rare devotions, including the donation of a car for campaign by Mr Robert. Speaking passionately, he says;

This is engineer Robert, when he watched omoyele sowore video clip, he joined us in the struggle and he donated his car. He gave his car for use for the campaign. We have branded it. We are taking it out of town. We are taking it round the city of Yola, we taking it to LG to do campaign.

As a matter of fact, something happened yesterday, we are all surprised; while this engineer drove this car around Mubi roundabout, Most of you may not which location is Mubi roundabout but Mr Omoyele Sowore knows that place quite okay because he did his  NYSC service here in Adamawa State… the youth gathered, they converged around him and they started shouting this is our party, this is our candidate, we are going to vote him, we are tired of PDP, we are tired of APC… this is the first time we are seeing a car like this and we like what is happening. I am telling you, Nigerians are tired. We are tired. Youths are tired. And we are out. We are coming out. In full force. In full measure. Resources is not going to hamper us. Determination is all we need to succeed.

The speaker speaks of the strategy employed for their local campaign;

we are sensitizing the people and we are getting attention of people to vote Omoyele Sowore. That is what we do. All of their emphasis is on rigging. Do we have the cabals around us that would help us rigged elections and grant us victory? I say see, rigging is not going to work in 2019 elections. Whoever rig election is out of the game because we will not tolerate that anymore. We will go every length to stop any illegal move as far as the elections is concern.

Gubernatorial Debate 2019; Lagos Deserves Better!!!

The gubernatorial debate which was held on Wednesday 9th, January 2019 at the Civic Hive on Montgomery Road, Yaba Lagos was graced with so much brilliance from all the candidates present.

Only three of the 13 invited gubernatorial candidates were absent, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress {APC}, Mr. Jimi Agbaje of the People’s Democratic Party {PDP}, and Mrs. Omolewa Adesanya of the Providence People’s Congress {PPC}.

The debate which was tagged “GOOD GOVERNANCE: What’s Next?” had no less than 10 political parties ably represented by their gubernatorial candidates in attendance, all of whom brought to light various germane issues affecting Lagos as a state, ranging from environmental hazards {i.e flooding and waste management}, transportation and housing problems, and most importantly, the issue of insecurity and unemployment in the state and also proffer various policies to solving these critical issues.

The 10 candidates who were present are Mr. Babatunde Gbadamosi of the ADP, Mr. Abiodun Dabiri of the ANRP, Mr. Francis Adebayo of the ANN, Mr. Funso Awe of the NCP, Mrs Adebisi Ogunsanya of YPP, Dr. Tokunbo Pearse of SDP, Mr. Ladipo Johnson of ANP, Mr. Ifagbemi Awamaridi of the LP, Mr. Oluwasegun Musa of ANDP and the AAC Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Oluwaseun Ajireloja.

The event was well attended by the good people of Lagos, most of whom yearn for a change in governance in the state in order to incur rapid development, considering the population of Lagos state and the influx of hundreds of thousands of people from other parts of the country and nearby countries who migrate into the state on daily basis with no aim of emigrating anytime soon.

Our candidate, Mr. Oluwaseun Ajireloja, hammered on the need to increase the minimum wage of the state from what it is as of today to One Hundred Thousand Naira living wage as it is obvious that the #18,000 currently paid to workers is a meagre amount which can never be enough to cater for any family no matter how few.

He also talked about going digital on the issue of security as that would drastically eradicate insecurity in the state, and reduce death rates while also giving room for people to run their businesses without fear of being robbed or killed.

All the candidates present performed absolutely well in answering the questions, presenting their party manifestos and also, their individual proposed policies for the state if they become governor.

Born in July 17, 1976, Dr Rabiu Ahmed hails from Jigawa State. He is an erudite academic and medical practitioner with up to 15 years of professional life.

His academic qualifications include a Medical Degree from Bayero University, Kano, and a Masters Degree in Public Health (MPH) from Leeds University, UK. He was the pioneer Dean of School of Public health, Federal University Dutse (FUD) from 2014 to 2015.

In addition to his teaching career and engagements, he has robust experience in public health policy formulation and was the head of health policy and health system strengthening units at Bayero University/Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Kano, spanning from year 2011 to 2013.

He is a fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) and also the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH). Dr Rabui has received multiple awards for working tenaciously in the areas of maternal and child health, tuberculosis, HIV, and environmental health.

Buhari’s APC Government Arrests Sowore Supporters for Pasting Posters

FIVE members of the African Action Congress party were arrested during the early hours today, Sunday, 9th December for pasting posters in Lagos State and are still being held in custody.

After discussing with police responsible for this arrest for the last 9 hours, concerned members anxious for their release have been advised that the orders are directly from the Police Commissioner.

The five supporters arrested were not violating any laws. Pasting of posters and creating awareness for the only alternative to the rot that has decimated our nation is not and has never been a crime in Nigeria, and this recent act of injustice suffered by the Take It Back Movement, the AAC and the presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, is further proof that the APC party is not interested in a free, fair election or in doing what is best for Nigerians.

Every step of the AAC party’s campaign has been dogged with impediments and outright blocks from the ruling party. From cancelled TV interviews to the withdrawal of rally permits in the northern part of Nigeria, the Buhari-led government has launched a vendetta campaign against the one party resolved in bettering the lives of Nigerians.

There are no guesses as to why the APC has taken offence against the AAC. While unwilling to pay hardworking Nigerians N30,000 a month for work done as minimum wage, the African Action Congress promises a living wage of N100,000 per month. While the incumbent government looks the other way while Nigerians are killed in their droves by terrorists, the AAC promises prosecution and tougher security measures to guarantee the safety and protection of Nigerians.

While the APC wakes from its slumber and cluelessness after 3 years of governance to offer Nigerians bread and N10,000 in exchange for their souls, the AAC not only promises to work from day one, but also shows exactly how it plans to execute these tasks and where the funding will come from.

Certainly, it is clear that the APC have no intention of leading Nigeria with incorruption, integrity or probity but we will continue to fight because Nigerians deserve better than the dire hand they’ve been dealt.

Nigeria MUST progress, and we will uphold the struggle until she does.
